Brainstorming on the future of Mediation in Belgium
The Association for International Arbitration cordially invites you to our Brainstorming Mediation round-table.
Planning:
Date: June 27, 2013
Place: Palace of Justice, Court of Appeal of Brussels, Salle des Audiences Solennelles, Plechtige Zittingszaal (Room 1.35), Place Poelaert 1 Poelaertplein
Time: 1.45 – 5 pm
Documents regarding the Conference:
Save the date: on Thursday 27th June at 1.45pm -5pm, the AIA is hosting a 'Brainstorming on the future of Mediation in Belgium' at the Palace of Justice. As a general promoter of ADR, the AIA is in favour of encouraging talks and debates in this field. Accordingly, the AIA will invite speakers from neighboring countries to talk about initiatives that were taken in their jurisdictions to optimise mediation. This will build a good foundation on which the group can then openly reflect on the extent to which such initiatives could/should be duplicated /improved in Belgian rules and practices. In this scenario, everyone is very welcome to share his/her ideas and to provide feedback on suggestions raised within the group. We hope that the event will stimulate participants into reaching a consensus on what the future of mediation in Belgium should look like. Subsequently, an AIA action plan will be prepared and transmitted to relevant policy makers. AIA members can attend free of charge. E-mail administration@arbitration-adr.org for details!
