The AIA Brussels Arbitration School (ABAS) is an initiative of the AIA. It is a five-day intensive course on arbitration, which rewards its participants with an ABAS arbitrator certificate. The curriculum of the program is conceived by arbitration experts and is aimed at lawyers, in house counsel, experts and alternative dispute resolution practitioners from around the globe, and strengthens the establishment of ties between the participants and arbitration providers. Benefits of ABAS training include arbitrator certification; contact with arbitration providers and leading arbitration practitioners from Belgium; content tailored to the participants’ profiles; possibility to submit questions upfront (allowing the trainers to include the answers in their presentations) The ABAS training is open for only a limited number of participants and places are allocated on a first come first served basis. Confirmed speakers include Alexander Hansebout, Philippe Billiet, Frank Wijckmans, Jörn Hombeck, Flip Petillion, Geert De Buyzer, Dilyara Nigmatullina, Iuliana Iancu.
